Bringing Stories To Life
I'm Moroni Afrifa and I love creating characters and breathing life into them with code and animation! I previously worked in a startup company (Almanite Studios) as a game developer and as a 3D artist in a visual effects studio (Chosentime Videographics). My go-to software packages include Blender 3D, the Unity game engine, Photoshop, Gimp and 3DS Max. In terms of coding, I am proficient in C#, C++ and python. Below are some of my works.

Box rush is a fun-filled racing-style mobile game app developed at Almanite Studios. I was the lead game developer for this project and led its development from conceptualization to deployment on Google Playstore. I built the game levels, mechanics and in-app purchase managers as well as the user interface using Unity, Blender, Photoshop and Gimp.

User Interface Design for Box Rush
I designed the user interface elements using Photoshop, Gimp and Blender. The interface had to be minimalistic as part of the required design language so I added simple minimalist 2D assets. Here is a short demo.
Additional Works
Below are some of my personal creations and professional works that highlight my skills.
Environment Asset Modelling
This is a render of an environment scene with 3D assets including boulders, huts and trees in the foreground. It is for a mobile game with a storyline set in an epic African savannah, where players embark on a journey to battle against magical villains.

Particle, Physics, Materials and Textures
In this scene, I integrated many low-res particle grass assets with toon-style materials and textures. This was a test project to optimize mobile game environments while maintaining visual fidelity. The goal was to achieve a lush and immersive landscape that runs smoothly on a variety of mobile devices, enhancing the player's experience without sacrificing performance.
Character modelling, animation and environment interaction
With Unity, Blender and 3Ds Max, I love creating characters with life-like animations that interact with dynamic environments. This is an endless runner game set in the ruins of an ancient civilization. I crafted the design of the level for players to appreciate the scale and grandeur of the architectural elements. I also used motion capture sequences to make the character's animations more life-like.
